RARE REGENCY MAHOGANY AND BRASS INLAY TAROT READING TABLE CIRCA 1820

Price £1750

An extremely rare and beautiful regency brass inlaid tarot reading table circa 1820

The centre of the table is nicely worn, where the cards would have been placed.

I will try and explain each of the brass inlaid Talisman symbols

1) You have an image of a bishop’s mitre and a religious cross. If these images were reversed you would see a cauldron and an ‘athame’ (witchcraft sword). The images are reversed as you could not show in your house that you engaged in witchcraft.

2) 32 differing paths

3) The sign for Capricorn

4) The eight fold noble path

It has the original paw casters, the brass wheels which have been well worn underneath.

This rare table measures 32 ” in diameter and 28 ½” high.

Delivery can be arranged at a cost of £70 (payable direct to the courier) to most areas of mainland UK. Cornwall, Devon & Scotland charged dependent on distance so please email for prices
